Whole Wheat Bread

Ingredients :
  1. Whole wheat flour - 3 cups plus 1/2 cup as needed
  2. Hot water - 1.5 cups
  3. Honey - 2.5 tbsp
  4. vegetable oil/olive oil - 2.5 tbsp
  5. salt - 1/2 tbsp
  6. yeast - 1 tbsp
Method :

In a large bowl add the water, honey,oil,salt and stir well.
Add in 1 cup of the  wheat flour and combine .
Add the yeast now (after checking and making sure that the mix has cooled down )
Add in the remaining flour 1/2 cup at a time until you get a dough that is still slightly sticky but managable.
You might not have to use the entire flour .
Knead until it comes together (2 or 3 minutes)
place the dough in a greased bowl and keep aside to raise for 45 minutes , until it doubles.
Grease a baking pan and keep aside.
Punch the dough down and knead and form a loaf approximately the shape of your baking pan.
place the dough loaf in the pan and keep aside in a warm spot to raise.
In about an hour it should have risen well.
Preheat oven to 180 degrees .
brush the top of the loaf lightly with some melted butter and sprinkle a tsp of rolled oats /flax seeds if you like to .
Bake for 30 - 35 minutes .
cool on a wire rack . Slice when it has cooled down.
