Ghee / Clarified Butter














Ingredients :
Fresh Butter - to make fresh butter follow these steps

Method:
Add the butter to a pan . It is better to use a light colored pan so that you can see the color of the Ghee change as you cook it.
Cook on medium flame until the milk solids separate and start browning , this will take somewhere arounf 30 - 45 minutes on a medium low flame.
When the milk solids turn golden brown turn the flame off , let the solids settle at the bottom and let it cook down a bit.
Strain and store in a clean bottle .It does not need to be refrigerated for a month at least.
