- Toor Dal soaked in water for 5 hours - 2 cups
- Green chillies - 3
- shallots- 4
- curry leaves - 1 spring
- dry red chillies - 3salt - to taste
- Oil - to deep fry
- ginger - a very small piece (1/2 tsp chopped)
Crush the soaked dal with chillies,shallots,ginger and curry leaves to a very coarse paste.
2 pulses in the food processor should do it. Heat the oil to medium high. Form vadas and deepfry in the hot oil.
