- Madhura Cheera - 1 bunch (about 3 cups leaves and tender stems picked and chopped)
- grated coconut - 3/4th cup
- garlic - 2 cloves
- shallots - 5 chopped
- green chillies - 3 chopped
- turmeric powder -1/4 tsp
- coconut oil - 1 tbsp
- curry leaves - 1 spring
Heat oil in a frying pan and splutter mustard seeds.
add chopped shallots, garlic, green chillies and curry leaves and saute until it is soft.
Add turmeric powder and mix well.
Add in the cleaned Cheera , salt to taste and saute on open flame for 5 minutes.
Add grated coconut , mix well and cook covered for 5 minutes.
Serve hot with rice.
