Idichakka Thoran















Ingredients :
  1.  Young/Baby jackfruit -  3 cups (remove the skin and middle portion and cut into chunk)
  2. Grated coconut - 1 cup
  3. Green chillies - 3 chopped
  4. Curry leaves - 1 spring
  5. turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
  6. mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp
  7. oil - 1 tbsp
  8. onion - 1 chopped
  9. salt - to taste.

Method:
Boil the jackfruit pieces with turmeric and salt in a cup of water and cook till done (10-15 mts)
Once it has cooled down ,shread it with your fingers  and keep aside.
In a pan heat oil, splutter mustard seeds .
Add the chopped onion,chilly and curry leaves and fry until onion is translucent .
add in the shredded jackfruit and stir well.
Add grated coconut and mix until it is combined and warmed through.
Serve with rice.
