Roasted Butternut Squash with Butter and Brown Sugar

  1. Butternut Squash - 1
  2. Butter - 4 tbsp
  3. Brown Sugar - 2 tbsp
  4. Salt - to taste

Set the Oven to 425 degrees F.
Cut the butternut Squash into 2 lengthwise.
Scoop out the seeds and make gashes on the thick fleshy side.
Apply a thin layer of butter and bake in oven for 40 minutes.
Check on the squash ,it should have started to soften.
Apply rest of the butter on the squash and top with brown sugar and bake for an additional 20 - 25 minutes until the squash is cooked and the sugar starts browning.
Serve as a snack or side dish with grilled meat or even add to a salad  .
