Ingredients:
- Shen choy - 1 bunch of about 1.5 lbs(cut thin)
- Grated coconut - 1/2 cup
- green chillies- 5 cut into rings
- garlic - 3 cloves chopped
- shallots - 8 chopped
- curry leaves - 1 spring
- Oil - 1 tbsp
- Mustard sees - 1/2 tsp
- Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
- salt - to taste
Method:
Rinse the Shen Choy in several changes of water to get the soil out of it . Drain well before proceeding to cut it.
Heat oil in a pan and splutter the mustard seeds.
Add in the garlic,onion and green chillies and turmeric powder and saute.
Add the cut greens and stir in an open pan until it wilts (If there is lot of water content - keep on high flame and let the water evaporate)
Add in the grated coconut and salt to taste .
Stir and cook covered for another 5 minutes until the mixture is dry and the leaves are cooked.
Looks as a healthy one.. Good recipe..

In malayalam we cheera , I believe its Keerai in Tamil . You get the red or green or the mixed color variety
