Ingredients:
- Pork - 2 lbs cut into big pieces(I used picnic shoulder)
- Vinegar - 4 tbsp
- Soy sauce - 1/2 cup (plus more depending on how salty it is ,I used low sodium soy sauce so added 1 cup)
- Garlic - 1 head
- Onion - 1 medium cut into 4
- Bay leaves - 4
- Whole peppercorns- 1 tsp
- Paprika - 1 tbsp
- chilly powder - 1 tsp(I used 1 tbsp)
- Oil - 1 tbsp
In a flat nonstick pan heat the oil and brown the pork pieces and keep aside.
Add the whole garlic cloves and brown them.
Add in the Onions,bay leaves and saute for 2 minutes.
Add in the chilly powder and paprika powder and stir well.
Add vinegar , soy sauce , peppercorn and 1/2 cup of water and bring to a simmer.
Add in the browned Pork pieces and cover and cook until the pork is done (about an hour or more).
Serve over White rice.
i have had adobo chicken..but pork is new..looks yumm!!!
