  13. mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp

Method:
Grind the grated coconut , turmeric, green chillies and garlic together to a coarse paste and keep aside.
Soak the blackeyed peas and red chori together in water overnight or for few hours.
Add the potato and soaked pulses into the pressure cooker and add enough water to just cover the ingredients and cook for 2 whistles.
Turn the flame off and leave the cooker aside until the pressure escapes by itself.
Meanwhile cook the raw banana pieces with 1 cup water until it is soft .
Add the potato/ pulse mixture into the raw banana mix and add salt to taste and mix well.
There should be some water remaining .
Add in the coconut paste and mix well. Cover an cook for 2 minutes.Turn the flame off and keep aside.
In a frying pan add the oil and crackle the mustard seeds.
Add in the thinly sliced shallots and curry leaves and fry until golden brown.
Add in the cooked mixture and stir well.
Serve with Rice.
