Chicken with Green chillies and Cilantro


Ingredients:
  1. Chicken thighs - 4 cut into small pieces
  2. Curd - 4 tbsp
  3. Green chillies - 5
  4. Cilantro - 1/2 cup leaves and stems
  5. Ginger - 1 inch piece
  6. Garlic - 8 cloves
  7. Shallots - 3
  8. Oil - 2 tbsp
  9. Salt - to taste
  10. Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
  11. Curry leaves - 3 springs
  12. Pepper powder - 1/2 tsp
Method:
Grind the green chillies,cilantro,ginger,garlic,shallots, pepper powder,salt and turmeric with yogurt into a paste (It does not have to be a very fine paste , not very coarse either).
Marinate the chicken with this mixture for few hours or overnight in the refrigerator.
Keep a Pan on the flame and add the chicken with the marinade and cook in the marinade until the chicken is almost cooked and the liquid is evaporated.
Add in the oil and curry leaves and stir fry the chicken until it is slightly brown.
Add sliced onions 5 minutes before turning the flame off.
