Ingredients:
- All purpose flour/Maida - 4 cups
- Milk - 1/2 cup
- curd/yogurt - 1/2 cup
- egg - 1
- Sugar - 2 tbsp heaped
- salt - to taste
- Baking powder - 1/2 tsp
- Ghee - 2 tsp
- Oil - to deep fry.
Method:
Sift the maida,baking powder and salt together.
Add in the sugar and egg,milk,yogurt and ghee and mix into a soft dough.
It should be softer than poori dough. If needed add more milk.
Form the dough into a ball and smear with oil and keep in a large covered container for 6 to 7 hours.
Form the dough into lemon sized balls and roll out into a poori sized disc.
Heat oil and deep fry the batoora. It will have a very soft bread like texture inside.and goes well with any meat curry, egg curry or chickpeas.
