Ingredients:
- chicken - 1 whole cut into small pieces.
- green chillies - 8 or 9.
- Onion - 2 medium.
- Ginger - 2 inch piece.
- Garlic - 8 cloves.
- Potatoes - cubed - 2.
- Meat masala crushed(cardamom,cloves,cinnamon,fennel,pepper).
- thick Coconut Milk - 2 cups.
- Coriander powder - 3 tbsp.
- Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp.
- Vinegar - 3 tbsp.
- Salt and curry leaves.
- Oil.
Heat oil and add the sliced onions,ginger,garlic and green chillies and saute until wilted,add in the crushed meat masala and the coriander and turmeric powder and fry until raw smell is gone.
Add the vinegar and salt and chicken pieces and mix well.
Cover and cook on medium flame (do not add water) the chicken will have some water in it.
Add potatoes when chicken is 1/2 cooked.
When the chicken and potatoes are cooked ( there will be very little gravy in it) Pour in the coconut milk(thick coconut milk tastes better) and bring to a simmer.
Turn off the flame and adjust taste adding more salt vinegar or crushed pepper as needed.
Add curry leaves.
