Breadfruit / Kadachakka Thoran
Ingredients:
Kadachakka/Breadfruit - 1
Grated coconut - 1/2 cup
Green chillies - 5
shallots - 2
Turmeric - 1/4'th tsp
cumin seeds/Jeera - 1/4'th tsp
Salt- to tsate
oil - for tadka
mustard seeds, shallots and curry leaves - for tadka
Method :
Cut the breadfruit into pieces and cook with salt and a pinch of turmeric powder until it is soft.
Make a coarse paste of the coconut,cumin,turmeric,green chillies and shallots and add it to the cooked breadfruit and mix well.
Cover and cook for few minutes until dry.
Heat oil and splutter the mustard seeds and add the shallots and curry leaves and fry until light brown .Add the cooked breadfruit mixture to this and mix well.
