Easy Chocolate Cake
















Ingredients :
  1. All purpose flour/Maida - 1 & 1/2  cups
  2. Cocoa Powder - 2/3 cups
  3. Sugar - 1 & 1/4 cups (add 1/4 cups more if you like the cake sweet )
  4. Vegetable oil - 1/2 cup
  5. Eggs - 2
  6. Hot water - 2/3 cups
  7. Milk - 3/4 cups
  8. Baking powder - 1 tsp
  9. Baking Soda - 1 & 1/4 tsp
  10. Vinegar - 1/4 tsp
  11. vanilla essence - 2 tsp
  12. salt - 1/4 tsp


Method :

Preheat at 180 degrees.
Butter and line a round baking tin with wax paper .
Sift together the maida , cocoa, baking powder, baking soda and salt and keep aside .
In a big bowl break in 2 eggs , add sugar , milk ,vinegar , vanilla essence and whisk well by hand until the eggs are mixed well with the rest of the ingredients .( about a minute)
Add in the oil and hot water and whisk again until well combined.(about a minute)
Add in the dry ingredients and whisk until combined (about a minute )
Pour the batter into the tin and bake at 180 degrees for 30 - 45 minutes .
Do check at 30 minutes , over cooking makes the cake dry .
Mine usually gets done by 35 minutes .

You can dust with powdered sugar or do an icing . The cake is very moist and just sweet enough .
