Okra Tomato stirfry



Ingredients:
  1. Okra/Ladies finger/Vendakka/Bendhi - 2 pounds washed and cut into small rounds
  2. Onion - 1 large chopped
  3. Tomatoes - 2 medium chopped
  4. Green chillies - 5 slit
  5. Salt - to taste
  6. turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
  7. mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp
  8. curry leaves - 2 springs
  9. Oil - 3 tbsp
Method:
Heat oil in a nonstick pan and add in the mustard seeds.
When it splutters add all the remaining ingredients together and stir well ,keeping it on a high flame.
Stir fry in an open pan for 5 minutes on high flame.
Cover and cook for 5 minutes.
Open the pan and stir fry until slightly browned .
Serve with rice.

  1. Yummy yummy okras priya! Try adding little urad dhal while tempering along with mustard.. the crunchy dhal will give a nice taste..! ;)
