Broiled Chicken with Shallots

This is a fusion dish which is very easy to prepare and tastes good too. No oil is used in the preparation .Curd and lime is used as a marinade which makes the chicken very moist and tender.Leaving the chicken in big pieces prevents it from getting dry while baking. I baked the chicken with the skin on and removed it prior to Broiling.

Ingredients:

  1. 1 Chicken - cut into big pieces (breast and wings attached, thighs and drumsticks attached)
  2. Shan Tandoori masala - 1/2 packet (about 4 tbsp, it has added salt)
  3. Lime juice - juice of half a lime
  4. Curd - 1/2 cup
  5. Shallots - 10
Method:
Make gashes on the chicken pieces and apply the tandoori masala, lime juice, curd paste to it and keep aside for 30 minutes.
Heat oven to 400 degrees.
Place the chicken pieces on a large pan and bake turning once in between for 30 minutes.
Add in the shallots and bake for an additional 10 minutes.
Set you oven to Broil mode on High.
Broil the chicken and shallots until they brown.
